Recorded with the legendary Muscle Shoals musicians, Easy As Saying 1-2-3 is one of the best cuts from the little known Timmy Willis. Not dissimilar to Otis in his vocal style, Timmy had recorded a few tracks, including his most well known song Mr Soul Satisfaction, before signing to Jubilee in the late 60's. As good as Mr Soul Satisfaction is, it was only when he signed to Jubilee that we finally got to hear how good he actually was. The last 30 seconds in particular, when he really lets go, on Easy As Saying 1-2-3 are just awesome...

ReplyDeleteGlad this track has been so well received, it really is a truly great song. Hopefully Marie it will work its magic. Sadly I don't think there is anything available to order at all for Timmy Willis at the moment, all his recordings seem to be discontinued. I got an MP3 of this track sent to me by a friend last year and have been trying in vain to get a hard copy.
